Special features

Full formatting toolbar Paragraph styles, three font families in four weights, ten sizes, colour, alignment, bullet and numbered lists, and indentation. Everything maps to real PDF font variants, never faux bold.
Six document templates Blank, personal letter, report, manuscript, screenplay and notes. Each one sets the fonts, spacing, margins and page numbers that the format actually calls for.
Preview is the real PDF The tool builds the PDF first, then renders those exact bytes with pdf.js. Line breaks, page breaks, headers and page numbers in the preview are the ones in your download.
Real pagination Word wrap measured with the exact PDF font metrics, character-level breaks for long URLs, widow and orphan control, and headings that never sit alone at the foot of a page.
Import and clean-up Load .txt or .md with UTF-8, UTF-16 and BOM detection. Markdown-lite gives you headings, lists, bold, italics and page breaks. One click straightens curly quotes and dashes.
Private by design No upload, no account, no local storage, no draft saved anywhere. Your text exists only in this tab. pdf-lib and pdf.js load lazily and run entirely on your device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert text to a PDF?

Type or paste your text into the editor, style it with the toolbar, choose a page size and margins, then click Download PDF. You can also drop a .txt or .md file onto the page to load it, and click Preview PDF first to see the actual file rendered page by page.

What fonts are available and are they embedded?

Three font families are available: a sans-serif, a serif, and a monospace, each in regular, bold, italic, and bold italic. These are the PDF standard fonts, which every PDF reader already contains. Nothing needs to be downloaded or embedded, so the file stays small and renders identically on every device.

Can I use non-English text?

The standard PDF fonts cover the Latin alphabet plus common Western European accents and symbols, which is 218 characters. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, and Indic scripts are not supported by these fonts and cannot be shaped correctly in the browser without embedding large font files. The tool scans your text before building and warns you exactly how many characters cannot be drawn, so you never get a silently broken PDF.

Is there a limit on document length?

There is no hard limit. Very long documents, beyond roughly a hundred pages, take longer to lay out and to render in the preview because every page is processed locally. The download itself is still a single PDF regardless of length.

Does the preview show the real PDF?

Yes. The preview is not a drawing of what the PDF might look like. The tool builds the actual PDF bytes first, then renders those bytes with pdf.js. What you see in the preview is literally the file you will download, including line breaks, page breaks, headers and page numbers.

Do my files or text leave my device?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your text is never transmitted, never stored, and never saved to any local storage. The two libraries used, pdf-lib and pdf.js, are loaded lazily from pinned CDNs and only run locally on your device.
