In 2022, I noticed a major gap in the Indian startup ecosystem: many startup incubators were guiding entrepreneurs without providing a well-defined structure. As a result, countless entrepreneurs were launching their startups without a solid, sustainable idea and, even more critically, without a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Both a unique business idea and a resilient entrepreneurial mindset are essential for startup success. Without them, expecting long-term success is unrealistic – it’s common sense! Let’s start by discussing the entrepreneurial mindset : What is it, and how does it differ from entrepreneurial passion? I delve into this in detail in another article (click here to read). In short, while entrepreneurial passion is the drive and excitement for the field, the entrepreneurial mindset is the foundation that builds resilience and adaptability – qualities essential for lasting success.
Unfortunately, many incubators today prioritize formalities like registering a company and launching a business, rather than helping entrepreneurs cultivate these fundamentals. This approach is like tossing someone into the ocean without teaching them to swim. Recognizing this need, I developed a structured entrepreneurial framework, which I launched through my startup incubator and innovation research facility.
